HOW does our weather service work?
Using local geo-located weather, safety alerts and mapping data, our innovative personal security system is designed to helpkeep you safe by giving you urgent information when you needit, in the way you prefer to receive it. If your home or workplace, or your child's school or other location is impacted by severe weather conditions or other local safety threats, our service automatically gives you an on-demand personal alert. Alerts are sent to your email addresses, or by text to your mobile phone wherever you are. You can even receive text-to-speech voice alerts for tornado warnings and create multiple* pre-set locations for friends and family.Timely alerts are precisely tailored to provide relevant local data based on pre-set locations you select, rather than on broad statewide or county geographies, reducing "false alarms" and giving you actionable weather data when you need it most. We give you nationwide watches and warnings from the National Weather Service, combined with a full suite of weather forecasts and "nowcasts." The service includes vital daily forecasts of highs/lows, winds, chance of precipitation, relative humidity, and sky cover.
ADVANCED Weather Technology
Our weather technology allows you to place a marker on a special interactive map for up to six locations and when there are lightning strikes within six miles of a location, you receive a text and/or email alert. When 30 minutes have passed without a lightning strike within the same 6 mile radius, our service sends an "all clear" message to let the user know that it is safe to go out again. By using the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) standards for lightning safety and the US Precision Lightning Network together, this unique service helps to keep you, your family, friends and colleagues safe from approaching severe weather and lightning strikes. Our advanced weather system also provides alerts for adverse weather conditions using proprietary nowcast-ing capabilities, including:
